A Tantalizing February 18th Cookbook Tasting Dinner Menu

The menu for this Wednesday’s February 18th, 6:30pm cookbook tasting dinner at Black Cat Farm-Table-Bistro speaks to the seductive and powerful influence of smell in cuisine.  Lavender, black truffles, the French/Indian spice mix vadouvan, and bergamot all make an appearance.

1st course

Chevre and baby carrot terrine with lavender-scented almonds

2nd course

White radish soup with black truffles

3rd course

Risotto with scallops, speck, and rapini

4th course

Black Cat Farm lamb with white polenta and parsley roots

5th course

Pork shoulder smoked over plum wood with vadouvan spice mix and Black Cat Farm winter spinach

6th course

Plum clafouti with warm creme anglaise and brandy

7th course

Warm Madeleine cookies with bergamot

Cost: $68 for the chef’s tasting menu (does not include alcohol, tax or gratuity).  Cookbooks will be on sale and available for Eric to sign for $29.95, plus tax.
