The menu for this Wednesday’s February 18th, 6:30pm cookbook tasting dinner at Black Cat Farm-Table-Bistro speaks to the seductive and powerful influence of smell in cuisine. Lavender, black truffles, the French/Indian spice mix vadouvan, and bergamot all make an appearance.

Chevre and baby carrot terrine with lavender-scented almonds

Pork shoulder smoked over plum wood with vadouvan spice mix and Black Cat Farm winter spinach

Plum clafouti with warm creme anglaise and brandy
