Finally! We will be selling our own organic Boulder County sweet potatoes on Saturday at the Market. Yes! As we have chronicled in detail on the blog, growing sweet potatoes was a surprise triumph for us this year. They are not supposed to really grow in Colorado — but grow they do! Roast them, mash them, use them in a gratin, try something new. For that new idea, please check out Colorado resident Mary Frances-Heck’s new book (just out this week) — Sweet Potatoes: Roasted, Loaded, Fried, and Made into Pie. Mary-Frances visited the farm last week, and we had a blast digging sweet potatoes together. She knows her lpomoea batatas!

Meanwhile, do visit the farm stand on Saturday for a host of other things, including, for the first time this year, fennel and cauliflower.
