Election day cookbook launch shindig


If you are one of the lucky ones with reservations to tomorrow’s six- course cookbook launch tasting dinner at Black Cat Farm-Table-Bistro  in honor of Eric’s new cookbook, rejoice and show up at the restaurant at 6:30pm.  Make first you vote first, though.

If you were unable to secure a reservation to tomorrow night’s sold-out dinner, don’t be blue. You will have another chance next month to partake of a tasting menu comprised of dishes from the cookbook, Farm, Fork, Food: A Year of Spectacular Recipes Inspired by Black Cat Farm, and celebrate the cookbook’s launch with Eric and Jill.

Following is the menu for tomorrow’s festivities.

1st course: Poached chicken and truffles with foie gras and radishes
2nd course: Lobster with grapefruit butter and carrot gratin
3rd course: Pork with Chinese broccoli, scallops, and fermented black beans
4th course: Fish wrapped in ham with beans and cardoons
5th course: Beef duo with banquette and red wine
6th course: Pistachio financier, chocolate, and poached pear

And since there’s still time to vote…

Regardless of how you stand on GMOs,  Eric and Jill encourage you to vote “Yes” on Amendment 105 if you have not already voted. You deserve the chance to have labels that more completely list what is in your food, so  you can make up your own mind about what you eat and support.
