The sheep herd of the Black Cat farm increased by two today as the first two lambs (twins) of the year were born. Presently, 78 ewes are pregnant, so there are many more lambs to be born this lambing season.
First, the planting of seedlings and shearing of over-wintered spinach and mache. Now, the birth of the first of this year’s lambs. The whiff of Spring is definitely in the air. It won’t be long.
