If you listen closely, you might hear the soil singing this morning. It’s a Beatles song — “Raiiiiiiiin | I don’t mind”
The soil, in fact, is rejoicing.
And so are the sheep, the lambs and our lead guard dog Chloe, an Akbash, which is a breed of guard dog from Turkey.
While the sheep munched and Chloe protected them from predators, we were busy on the farm planting and laying irrigation. The farmers’ market kick-off is just a week away, and we will be there with greens, meat and more. Soon, too, asparagus spears will pack our dedicated asparagus acre.
