Gone but not forgotten
Our overwintered root vegetables (beets, carrots, parsnips) lasted all spring but are now gone with the appetite. Look for new root vegetables from us to appear at the market in late summer and early fall.
On the horizon
In the next few weeks, expect artichokes and gai-lan (Chinese broccoli) to show up at the Black Cat Farm booth. Last year’s experimental artichoke crop was a delightful surprise. With more artichoke plants in the field, we hope to have enough artichokes to bring some to the market.
