We spend a lot of time in fields — preparing soil, planting, weeding, harvesting, tending to animals, irrigating and as of this week hosting a farm dinner as well, our first-ever at Black Cat Farm.
None of it would be possible without our partnerships with Open Space visionaries in Boulder County and the City of Boulder. These smart, progressive stewards of precious land create and maintain our jaw-dropping mosaic of trails, they work with ranchers to provide grazing land for cattle and they allow farmers, like us, grow everything from artichokes to wheat to tomatoes. What these public servants have accomplished over the years stands as an international model for local land stewardship, and we are grateful for their hard work, savvy and open minds.
Thanks to Open Space, we have lots to offer at tomorrow’s Farmers’ Market, as well as in the restaurants.
