Coming attractions
While the tomato season is on the verge of starting with a trickle of tomatoes, the Black Cat farm folks planted 3200 tomato plants (14 heirloom varieties, one non-heirloom variety). To date, all but 8 or 10 of them have survived. Plus, the recent hot weather has caused tremendous plant growth. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we should have a cornucopia of tomatoes available at the market in the coming months.
The harvested onions are now curing. In three weeks, Eric anticipates having 5 and 25-pound bags of onions available for sale at the market.
