Success breeds demand
Even now at the peak of the harvest season, the demand for Black Cat Farm produce from Black Cat Farm-Table-Bistro and Bramble and Hare has nearly outpaced what the farm can provide. This has been true since the spring and is a new phenomenon that is has been caused by significant restaurant growth.
Another reflection of the restaurant success is the decision to maintain a larger herd of pigs to satisfy the growing need.
While we will take the burgeoning business as long as we can maintain quality, success does present a new set of challenges that are compounded by a poor growing season.
