Upcoming Cookbook Tasting and BookCliff Vineyards Dinners

Farm Fork Food

After a hiatus, the cookbook tasting dinners resume this Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30pm. The earlier dinners delved into the glorious produce that you can find at the Boulder Farmers’ Market in the late summer, fall, and winter via recipes in Eric’s cookbook, Farm, Fork, Food: A Year of Spectacular Recipes Inspired by Black Cat Farm.

This Tuesday’s dinner plunges into spring recipes, using such spring ingredients as the first asparagus from Black Cat Farm’s new asparagus field as well as lamb and sorrel from the farm.

Between courses, Eric will share stories about the cookbook, answer questions, and sign cookbooks.

Spring Barrel Tasting Dinner at Bookcliff Vineyards

Another sign of spring is the Bookcliff Vineyards’ annual spring barrel tasting dinner. After Bookcliff Vineyards harvests their grapes in the fall and makes wine, the wine ages in barrels over the winter. In the spring, Bookcliff Vineyards holds a dinner where guests can sample the macerated wine as well as the last bottled release while enjoying a fine meal. This year, Eric is preparing the five course sit-down dinner with a Bookcliff Vineyards wine pairing for every course.

If you have ever imbibed the Black Cat Meritage wine at Black Cat Farm-Table-Bistro and Bramble and Hare, made by Bookcliff Vineyards, you are familiar with the artistry of Bookcliff Vineyards.

This year’s dinner will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 1st-2nd at 6:30pm.
